Important Information

Tips for keeping the air clean this Spring

  • Show your commitment to a clean environment by volunteering for a cleanup effort in your community or initiating a cleanup effort in your school, on your street, along roadsides, vacant lots, or other local areas.
  • Remind your friends not to litter. Plant trees, shrubs, or other greenery to help reduce carbon dioxide in the air.
  • Share the ride and the road.  Try carpooling, biking, walking, or riding public transportation to reduce pollution.
  • Before leaving for vacation, turn up your thermostat (or use a programmable one) so you don't use unneeded air conditioning.
  • Properly maintaining  your home appliances and keeping them clean will save electricity, which conserves resources and reduces global warming.

Seasonal Burning

Seasonal Burning is allowed with a permit from the APCB on approved burning days from Oct. 1st through April 30th of each year.
